Cajunclassic

The Cajun Classic is the second of 5 "Super Series" scheduled each year. These tournaments are the second most important for us after the Grand Slams and can be compared to the Masters 1000 tournaments among able-bodied players.
Cajun OpenThe tournament started for me with a bye in the first round as the 2nd seeded player. In the second round, I won from Brazilian Leandro Pena 6-2 6-0. The quarterfinals I won from also a Brazilian, 6-1 6-3 against Ymanitu Silva. In the semifinals I played a tough and exciting match against Japanese Koji Sugeno, but after a score of 6-1 5-7 6-4 I still managed to win. In the finals I faced Niels Vink, with whom I also won the doubles title. Unfortunately it was not my day and Niels played very well, 2-6 0-6.
Some new areas of focus have emerged after this tournament that we will focus on in the coming weeks. The next tournament for me is the Korea Open in April, followed by the Japan Open!
